6. The revised additional resource requirements under section 9, Economic and social affairs, of the proposed programme budget for the biennium 2014-2015, which relate to the high-level political forum on sustainable development, are as follows:

The General Assembly decided to replace the Commission on Sustainable Development with the high-level political forum (resolution 66/288)

UN-Habitat participated in an expert group meeting on the high-level political forum on sustainable development, held in New York on 3 and 4 April 2013, and made a statement at the inaugural meeting of the forum at the sixty-eighth session of the General Assembly.

63. With respect to the high-level political forum for sustainable development, country delegates discussed the importance of ensuring that the forum is established with a strong institutional structure and in accordance with all the functions and powers agreed to at the Conference.
63 - وفيما يتصل بالمنتدى السياسي الرفيع المستوى المعني بالتنمية المستدامة، ناقش مندوبو البلدان أهمية كفالة أن ينشأ المنتدى مزودا ببنية مؤسسية قوية وتتوفر لديه جميع الوظائف والصلاحيات التي اتُّفق عليها في المؤتمر.

9. Upon enquiry, the Advisory Committee was informed that, subsequent to the adoption by the General Assembly of its resolution 68/1, the additional resources required to support the activities relating to the high-level political forum amounted to $754,600 under section 9, Economic and social affairs, of the proposed programme budget for the biennium 2014-2015.
9 - وأُبلغت اللجنة الاستشارية عند استفسارها أنه في أعقاب اتخاذ الجمعية العامة قرارها 68/1، بلغت الموارد الإضافية اللازمة لدعم الأنشطة المتعلقة بالمنتدى السياسي الرفيع المستوى 600 754 دولار في إطار الباب 9، الشؤون الاقتصادية والاجتماعية، من الميزانية البرنامجية المقترحة لفترة السنتين 2014-2015.

The Advisory Committee was informed that the modalities of the support proposed for the intergovernmental processes for the high-level political forum, the working group on sustainable development goals and the intergovernmental working group on a sustainable development financing strategy were estimated based on experience acquired by the Secretariat during previous negotiations and intergovernmental processes.
وأُبلغت اللجنة الاستشارية بأن طرائق الدعم المقترحة للعمليات الحكومية الدولية المتعلقة بالمنتدى السياسي الرفيع المستوى والفريق العامل المعني بأهداف التنمية المستدامة والفريق العامل الحكومي الدولي المعني باستراتيجية تمويل التنمية المستدامة قُدرت استنادا إلى الخبرات التي اكتسبتها الأمانة العامة خلال المفاوضات والعمليات الحكومية الدولية السابقة.
