36 - وتشير اللجنة الاستشارية إلى أن الجمعية العامة قد أعربت، في الفرع الثامن من قرارها 59/296، عن القلق إزاء ممارسة الاستعانة بفرادى المتعاقدين أو الأشخاص بموجب عقود شراء لأداء مهام ذات طابع مستمر وطلبت إلى الأمين العام الرجوع إلى الجمعية لكي تنظر في إنشاء وظيفة إذا ما كان للمهمة ما يبررها.

6. Recalls paragraphs 10, 12 and 13 of the report of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions, and requests the Secretary-General to provide the information and explanations requested in those paragraphs to the Assembly for its consideration at the main part of its sixty-seventh session;

2. Although the initial proposal submitted for the Assembly's consideration concerned the environmental impact of nuclear tests, eventually the General Assembly decided to have the report placed in a broader context so as to include other activities that have a potentially negative impact on the environment.
٢ - وبالرغم من أن الاقتراح المبدئي الذي قدم إلى الجمعية لكي تنظر فيه يتعلق بالتأثير البيئي الناجم عن التجارب النووية، فقد قررت الجمعية العامة في نهاية المطاف أن يوضع التقرير في سياق أوسع بحيث يتضمن اﻷنشطة اﻷخرى التي يمكن أن ينجم عنها تأثير ضار بالبيئة.

I address myself to the Assembly to speak on an issue that we are concerned about because of its negative effect on the health of our populations and on the economies of our countries, that is, chronic non-communicable diseases.
وإنني أتوجّه إلى الجمعية لكي أتكلّم بشأن مسألة تثير قلقنا بسبب أثرها السلبي على صحة شعوبنا واقتصادات بلداننا، وأعني بها الأمراض غير المعدية المزمنة.
