أولا - جمع المعلومات عن استخدام وتطبيق معايير وقواعد منع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية

In 2007, UNODC prepared an analysis of the replies provided by more than 40 States to a questionnaire on the use and application of standards and norms related primarily to the prevention of crime (E/CN.15/2007/11).
33- وفي عام 2007، أعد المكتب تحليلا للردود المقدّمة من أكثر من 40 دولة ردّت على استبيان بشأن استخدام وتطبيق معايير الأمم المتحدة وقواعدها المتعلقة في المقام الأول بمنع الجريمة (E/CN.15/2007/11).

Various organizations also provided information on the use and application of standards and norms in crime prevention and criminal justice.
66- قدمت منظمات مختلفة أيضاً معلومات عن استخدام وتطبيق معايير الأمم المتحدة وقواعدها في مجال منع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية.

The process of information-gathering on these standards is an integral part of the overall information-gathering process on the use and application of standards and norms in crime prevention and criminal justice, in pursuance of Economic and Social Council resolution 1993/34.
وتشكل عملية جمع المعلومات عن هذه المعايير جزءا لا يتجزأ من العملية الشاقة لجمع المعلومات عن استخدام وتطبيق معايير اﻷمم المتحدة وقواعدها في مجال منع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية ، عملا بقرار المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي ٣٩٩١/٤٣ .

It covers three topics, namely, the information-gathering process on the use and application of standards and norms in crime prevention and criminal justice, the administration of juvenile justice and the issue of victims of crime and abuse of power.
ويغطي هذا التقرير ثلاثة مواضيع ، وهي : عملية جمع المعلومات عن استخدام وتطبيق معايير اﻷمم المتحدة وقواعدها في مجال منع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية ، وادارة شؤون قضاء اﻷحداث ، ومسألة ضحايا الجريمة والتعسف في استعمال السلطة .

Through its normative work, the Office provides advice and guidance to countries on the use and application of standards and norms and facilitates the development of new ones, while through its operational work the Office assists countries in the development and implementation of programmes aimed at effective institution-building, criminal justice reform and crime prevention and control strategies.
5- فمن خلال عمله المعياري، يقدم المكتب المشورة والإرشاد للبلدان بشأن استخدام وتطبيق معايير الأمم المتحدة وقواعدها وتسهيل وضع معايير وقواعد جديدة، بينما يساعد البلدان، من خلال عمله التنفيذي، على وضع وتنفيذ برامج تهدف إلى بناء المؤسسات وإصلاح العدالة الجنائية واستراتيجيات بشأن منع الجريمة ومراقبتها.

The information-gathering process on the use and application of standards and norms in crime prevention and criminal justice was established by the Council in its resolution 1993/34, section III, paragraph 7 (c).
وقد أقر المجلس عملية جمع المعلومات عن استخدام وتطبيق معايير اﻷمم المتحدة وقواعدها في مجال منع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية في الفقرة ٧ )ج( من القسم ثالثا من قراره ٣٩٩١/٤٣ .

The Director also introduced the report of the Secretary-General on United Nations standards and norms in crime prevention and criminal justice (E/CN.15/2007/11), which contained an analysis of the replies received from Governments to the questionnaire on the use and application of standards and norms related primarily to the prevention of crime.
107- وقدّمت المديرة أيضا تقرير الأمين العام عن معايير الأمم المتحدة وقواعدها في مجال منع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية (E/CN.15/2007/11)، الذي يتضمّن تحليلا لردود الحكومات على الاستبيان بشأن استخدام وتطبيق معايير الأمم المتحدة وقواعدها المتعلقة أساسا بمنع الجريمة.
