إذ تذكر بأن الفقرة ١ من المادة ٤ من النظام اﻷساسي للجنة تقضي بأن اللجنة مسؤولة عن التماس طرق وسبل تسهيل إجراء مفاوضات ثنائية من أجل رد أو إعادة الممتلكات الثقافية الى بلدانها اﻷصلية،

My delegation welcomes the positive and tangible results secured by the Intergovernmental Committee for Promoting the Return of Cultural Property to Its Countries of Origin or Its Restitution in Case of Illicit Appropriation.
ويرحب وفد بلدي بالنتائج الايجابية والملموسة التي حققتها اللجنة الحكومية الدولية للعمل على إعادة الممتلكات الثقافية الى بلدانها اﻷصلية، أو ردها في حالة امتلاكها بصورة غير مشروعــة.

This shows the increasing international awareness of this issue and the will to restore Cultural Property to Its people as part of their history, showing the richness of their civilization.
وهذه الصكوك كلها توضح مدى الوعي الدولي المتزايد لإعادة الممتلكات الثقافية الى أصحابها من الشعوب والأمم باعتبارها أحد مقومات تاريخها وترمز إلى عمق أصولها وقدم حضارتها.

By preserving our respective cultural heritages and restoring Cultural Property to Its rightful countries of origin, we shall best serve the interests of all peoples of the world for generations to come.
ومن خلال محافظـــة كل منها على تراثه الثقافي وإعادة الممتلكات الثقافية الى بلدانها اﻷصلية الشرعية، فإننا بذلك نخدم على أفضل وجه مصالح جميع شعوب العالم ﻷجيال مقبلة.

We expect these efforts to be accompanied by an awakening of world public opinion in support of the return or restitution of Cultural Property to Its countries of origin, in particular through mobilization of the information capacity of the United Nations for this purpose.
ونتوقع أن ترافق هذه الجهود توعية الرأي العام العالمي دعما ﻹعادة أو رد الممتلكات الثقافية الى بلدانها اﻷصلية، ولا سيما عن طريق تعبئة القدرة اﻹعلامية لﻷمم المتحدة لهذا الغرض.

Since then, the goals set by the resolutions adopted by the General Assembly may not yet have been reached, but the matter is at least being given serious consideration by the Intergovernmental Committee for Promoting the Return of Cultural Property to Its Countries of Origin, and we are glad to note that progress is being made.

In conclusion, I would like to stress that the Republic of Belarus highly appreciates the activities of the Intergovernmental Committee for Promoting the Return of Cultural Property to Its Countries of Origin or its Restitution in Case of Illicit Appropriation.
وأود ختاما أن أشدد على أن جمهورية بيلاروس تقدر تقديرا عاليا أنشطة اللجنة الحكومية الدولية الرامية الى التشجيع على إعادة الممتلكات الثقافية الى بلدانها اﻷصلية أو ردها إليها في حالة الحيازة غير المشروعة.

It has particularly sought to apply the recommendations of the Intergovernmental Committee for Promoting the Return of Cultural Property to Its Countries of Origin or its Restitution in Case of Illicit Appropriation at its seventh session, which was held at Athens, Greece, from 22 to 25 April 1991.
وسعت بوجه خاص الى تطبيق التوصيات التي وضعتها اللجنة الحكومية الدولية ﻹعادة الممتلكات الثقافية الى بلدانها الاصلية أو ردﱢها في حالة امتلاكها بصورة غير مشروعة، في دورتها السابعة والعشرين المعقودة في أثينا، اليونان، من ٢٢ الى ٢٥ نيسان/أبريل ١٩٩١.

We are gratified at the work done and the progress made since the seventh session of the Intergovernmental Committee for Promoting the Return of Cultural Property to Its Countries of Origin or its Restitution in Case of Illicit Appropriation, held at Athens in April 1991.
ونحــن ممتنــون للعمل الذي أنجز والتقدم الذي أحرز منذ الدورة السابعة للجنة الحكومية الدولية للعمل على إعادة الممتلكات الثقافية الى بلدانها اﻷصلية أو ردهـا في حالة امتلاكها بصورة غير مشروعة، المعقودة في أثينا في نيسان/أبريل ١٩٩١.

We particularly appreciate the constant efforts of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and its specialized committee, the Intergovernmental Committee for Promoting the Return of Cultural Property to Its Countries of Origin and Its Restitution in Case of Illicit Appropriation, for enhancing world awareness and assisting countries to reclaim their cultural property.
ونحــن نقــدر بصفــة خاصــة الجهـود المستمرة لمنظمة اﻷمم المتحدة للتربية والعلم والثقافة )اليونسكو( ولجنتها المتخصصة، اللجنة الحكومية الدولية للعمل على إعادة الممتلكات الثقافية الى بلدانها اﻷصلية أو ردهــا فــي حالـة امتلاكهــا بصـورة غير مشروعة، لقيامهما بتعزيز الوعي العالمي ومساعدة البلدان على استــرداد ممتلكاتها الثقافية.
