In accordance with a request of the Statistical Commission at its thirty-seventh session,** the Secretary-General has the honour to transmit the information note prepared by the Committee for the Coordination of Statistical Activities on implementation of principles governing international statistical activities.

1. At its thirty-seventh session, in 2006, the Statistical Commission welcomed the principles governing international statistical activities, which had been prepared and endorsed by the Committee for the Coordination of Statistical Activities.
