Although, traditionally, macroeconomics examined the behaviour and market interaction of economic agents, such as households, enterprises and the State, it was now increasingly recognized that macroeconomic analysis had to review separately the impact of macroeconomic policies on women and men within the household.

6 - وأخيرا، وكما خلص إليه المؤتمر الدولي السادس عشر للأسرة في نيويورك، 2004، " يجب أن ترمي السياسات إلى تعزيز المساواة في الكرامة بين النساء والرجال داخل أسرهم وتحقيق تقاسم تام للمسؤوليات الأسرية والاجتماعية ولفرص التوظيف، ميسرة بذلك قيام توازن بين العمل الخارجي والمسؤوليات الأسرية، وخاصة وسط الأسر التي ترأسها إناث " .

(b) Design and provide educational programmes through innovative media campaigns and school and community education programmes to raise awareness on gender equality and non-stereotyped gender roles of women and men within the family; provide support services and facilities, such as on-site child care at workplaces and flexible working arrangements;
