In that regard, Kuwait looked forward to the publication of the in-depth study to be submitted by the Secretary-General on the question of violence against children and the recommendations accompanying it, with a view to taking the necessary measures for achieving fixed objectives and thus improving the lot of children.

1. In 2001, following a recommendation of the Committee on the Rights of the Child, in General Assembly resolution 56/138 the Secretary-General was asked to conduct an in-depth study on the question of violence against children.

1. In 2001, following a recommendation of the Committee on the Rights of the Child, the General Assembly in its resolution 56/138, requested the Secretary-General to conduct an in-depth study on the question of violence against children.

In 2001, on the recommendation of the Committee on the Rights of the Child, the General Assembly in its resolution 56/138 requested the Secretary-General to conduct an in-depth study on the question of violence against children and to put forward recommendations for consideration by Member States for appropriate action.

4. Also welcomes the holding by the Committee on the Rights of the Child of a day of general discussion on 28 September 2001 on violence against children within the family and in schools and the Committee's recommendations to address such violence;
٤- ترحب أيضاً بعقد لجنة حقوق الطفل يوما للمناقشة العامة في ٢٨ أيلول/سبتمبر ٢٠٠١، بشأن مسألة العنف ضد الأطفال داخل الأسرة وفي المدارس وبتوصيات اللجنة بشأن التصدي لهذا العنف؛

It had also organized two discussion days: one on children living in a world with HIV/AIDS; and the other on State violence against children, during which it had recommended that the Secretary-General should be requested, through the General Assembly, to conduct an in-depth international study on violence against children.
وإلى جانب ذلك، نظَّمَت يومين للمناقشة العامة: الأول بشأن الأطفال والإيدز والثاني بشأن العنف الذي تقترفه الدول ضد الأطفال. وأوصت اللجنة خلال المناقشة بأن تطلب الجمعية العامة إلى الأمين العام، إجراء دراسة دولية متعمقة بشأن مسألة العنف ضد الأطفال.

151. The Republic of Cape Verde is thus endeavouring, by including a focus on violence against children and adolescents in family life, to draw attention to the broader aspects of domestic violence, which may have a direct impact on children as well as women.
