17. The Committee adopted draft decision A/AC.241/WG.I(X)/L.1/Rev.1 entitled " Designation of a permanent secretariat and arrangements for its functioning: administrative and support arrangements " (see appendix II, sect. A, decision 10/2).

1. In its resolution entitled " Work Programme for the Interim Period " adopted at the sixth session (document A/AC.241/L.24), the INCD decided to allocate to Working Group I the question of making recommendations to the Conference of the Parties on the designation of a Permanent Secretariat and arrangements for its functioning.
١- قررت لجنة التفاوض الحكومية الدولية، في قرارها المعنون " برنامج العمل للفترة المؤقتة " الذي اعتمد في الدورة السادسة )الوثيقة A/AC.241/L.24(، أن تحيل إلى الفريق العامل اﻷول مسألة تقديم توصيات إلى مؤتمر اﻷطراف بشأن تعيين أمانة عامة دائمة ووضع ترتيبات لممارسة عملها.

At its 7th meeting, on 22 August, the Committee adopted a draft decision entitled " Designation of a permanent secretariat and arrangements for its functioning: procedure for selection of the city to host the permanent secretariat " , submitted by the Chairman as a result of informal consultations (see appendix II, decision 10/17).
