24. In the area of policy, a number of general human rights promotion strategies have been established, including those described below:
24- على مستوى السياسات فقد تم وضع مجموعة من الاستراتيجيات الرامية إلى تعزيز حقوق الإنسان بصورة عامة ومنها:

Reaffirming the importance it attaches to maintaining effective cooperation and meaningful dialogue with United Nations bodies active in the field of human rights in general and children's rights in particular,
إذ تعترف باﻷهمية التي تعلقها على اﻹبقاء على تعاون فعال وحوار هادف مع هيئات اﻷمم المتحدة النشطة في ميدان حقوق اﻹنسان بصورة عامة وحقوق الطفل بصورة خاصة،

This combination of ignorance on the one side and omission on the other is a source of difficulty for the achievement of human rights in general and economic, social and cultural rights in particular.
وهذا الجهل من جانب البعض أو اﻹهمال من جانب البعض اﻵخر يشكل مصدراً للصعوبات التي تعترض إعمال حقوق اﻹنسان بصورة عامة والحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية بصورة خاصة.

" Non-governmental organizations should regularly provide information to teachers and to the media about human rights in general, the crimes of racism and racial discrimination, their own activities and those of the United Nations system in this field.
" وينبغي أن تقوم المنظمات غير الحكومية على نحو منتظم بتقديم معلومات للمعلمين ولوسائط اﻹعلام بشأن حقوق اﻹنسان بصورة عامة والجرائم المتصلة بالعنصرية والتمييز العنصري وبشأن أنشطتها وأنشطة منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة في هذا المجال.

It was recognized that the media played an essential role in the promotion and protection of human rights in general and that media professionals, including media editors and owners, should be particularly vigilant in trying to safeguard the integrity of the child.
وسُلﱢم بأن وسائط اﻹعلام تؤدي دورا أساسيا في تعزيز وحماية حقوق اﻹنسان بصورة عامة وأن المهنيين العاملين في وسائط اﻹعلام، بمن في ذلك المحررون بوسائط اﻹعلام ومالكو هذه الوسائط، ينبغي بصورة خاصة أن يتوخوا اليقظة في محاولة ضمان سلامة الطفل.

91. The High Commissioner expressed his appreciation to the Government of Indonesia for all the steps it had thus far taken to comply with the recommendations of the various United Nations human rights mechanisms and to promote and protect human rights in general.

)ق( يتعين أن تقوم المنظمات غير الحكومية بتقديم معلومات على نحو منتظم للمعلمين ولوسائط الاتصال بشأن حقوق اﻹنسان بصورة عامة والجرائم المتصلة بالعنصرية والتمييز العنصري وبشأن أنشطة منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة اضافة الى أنشطتها الخاصة في هذا المجال.

(i) Non-governmental organizations should regularly provide information to teachers and to the media about human rights in general, the crimes of racism and racial discrimination, and their own activities and the activities of the United Nations system in this field;
)ط( ينبغي أن تقوم المنظمات غير الحكومية بتقديم معلومات على نحو منتظم للمعلمين ولوسائط اﻹعلام بشأن حقوق اﻹنسان بصورة عامة وعن الجرائم العنصرية والتمييز العنصري بصورة خاصة، وكذلك عن أنشطتها الخاصة وأنشطة هيئات اﻷمم المتحدة في هذا المجال؛

" Despite the exceptional situation it has faced as a result of the aggression perpetrated against it by some 30 countries and in spite of the ensuing unrest, Iraq has neither proclaimed a state of emergency nor restricted the implementation of the articles of the Constitution or the laws, nor adopted measures which might undermine respect for human rights in general. The experience of general human rights activities over recent decades should be analysed and used to promote respect for the rights of the child, and to avoid the perseverence of the charity mentality and paternalistic approaches to children’s issues.
وينبغي تحليل خبرات أنشطة حقوق الإنسان بصورة عامة في العقود الأخيرة، واستخدامها لتعزيز احترام حقوق الطفل، وتفادي استمرار عقلية الاحسان والنهج الأبوية تجاه المسائل المرتبطة بالأطفال.
