كما قررت الجمعية العامة أن يُعقد الجزء الرفيع المستوى من المؤتمر الحادي عشر خلال الأيام الثلاثة الأخيرة للمؤتمر، لإتاحة المجال لرؤساء الدول والحكومات أو وزراء الحكومات للتركيز على البنود الموضوعية الرئيسية من جدول أعمال المؤتمر.

The Meeting recalled that the General Assembly, in its resolution 58/138, had decided that the high-level segment of the Eleventh Congress should be held during the last three days of the Congress to allow heads of State or Government or government ministers to focus on the main substantive agenda items of the Congress.
واستذكر المؤتمر أن الجمعية العامة قرّرت، في قرارها 58/138، أن يُعقد الجزء الرفيع المستوى من المؤتمر الحادي عشر خلال الأيام الثلاثة الأخيرة للمؤتمر، لتمكين رؤساء الدول أو الحكومات أو الوزراء من التركيز على البنود الموضوعية الرئيسية لجدول أعمال المؤتمر.

وفي الدورة الثامنة والخمسين، قررت الجمعية العامة أن تعقد المؤتمر الحادي عشر في الفترة من 18 إلى 25 نيسان/أبريل 2005، وقررت أيضا أن يعقد الجزء الرفيع المستوى خلال الأيام الثلاثة الأخيرة للمؤتمر (القرار 58/138).
