1. Approves the revised statute of the Centre for Alleviation of Poverty as adopted by the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, the text of which is annexed to the present resolution, and which include revised functions that strengthen the role of the Centre in coordinating research and analysis on secondary crops;

4. The Asia-Pacific regional implementation meeting was held in Jakarta on 26 and 27 November 2007 in collaboration with the ESCAP Centre for Alleviation of Poverty through Secondary Crops' Development in Asia and the Pacific (CAPSA), the Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific of FAO, the Convention secretariat and the Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
