21. Over the course of two training programmes and one workshop, the participants were taught by international experts in GNSS on topics such as the operation of AfricaArray stations and assessment of seismic hazard.
21- وقام خبراء في النظم العالمية لسواتل الملاحة بتدريس المشاركين، من خلال برنامجين تدريبين وحلقة عمل واحدة، موضوعات مثل تشغيل محطات برنامج صفائف أفريقيا (AfricaArray)، وتقييم المخاطر الزلزالية.

The course consists of nine modules, each covering specific areas of GNSS (theory, technology and applications).

In accordance with General Assembly resolution 62/217, the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee had considered the agenda item on recent developments in global navigation satellite systems, as a new regular item, and reviewed issues related to the International Committee on Global Navigation Satellite Systems (ICG), the latest developments in the field of GNSS and new GNSS applications.
132- وفقا لقرار الجمعية العامة 62/217، نظرت اللجنة الفرعية العلمية والتقنية في بند جدول الأعمال المتعلّق بالتطورات المستجدة في النظم العالمية لسواتل الملاحة بصفته بندا جديدا ثابتا، واستعرضت المسائل المتصلة باللجنة الدولية المعنية بالنظم العالمية لسواتل الملاحة، وآخر التطورات في مجال النظم العالمية لسواتل الملاحة والتطبيقات الجديدة لهذه النظم.

The African continent is directly involved in global navigation satellite systems through the African Geodetic Reference Frame (AFREF) project (see http://geoinfo.uneca.org/afref/), a geodetic project aimed at unifying the coordinate reference frames of Africa and which serves as the basis for national three-dimensional reference networks and is fully consistent and homogeneous with the International Terrestrial Reference Frame.
51- وتشارك القارة الأفريقية مشاركة مباشرة في النظم العالمية لسواتل الملاحة من خلال مشروع الإطار المرجعي الجيوديسي لأفريقيا (انظر الموقع الشبكي التالي: http://geoinfo.uneca.org/afref/)، وهو مشروع جيوديسي يهدف إلى توحيد الأطر المرجعية للإحداثيات في أفريقيا ويعتبر أساس شبكات الأسانيد المرجعية الوطنية الثلاثية الأبعاد، وهو مشروع يتّسق ويتجانس تماما مع الإطار المرجعي الأرضي الدولي.

Over the course of two training programmes and three workshops carried out in 2014, the participants were taught by international experts in GNSS on the following topics: (a) the operation of AfricaArray stations; (b) a complete set of SEISAN programmes for locating earthquakes; (c) engineering seismology; (d) the Global Earthquake Model; and (e) the development of a seismotectonic map for Africa.
17- ومن خلال برنامجين تدريبيين وثلاث حلقات عمل نُظِّمت في عام 2014، تلقَّى المشاركون على يد الخبراء الدوليين في النظم العالمية لسواتل الملاحة معلومات بشأن المواضيع التالية: (أ) تشغيل محطات صفائف أفريقيا؛ (ب) مجموعة كاملة من برامج تحديد أماكن الزلازل SEISAN؛ (ج) علم الزلازل الهندسي؛ (د) النموذج العالمي للزلازل؛ (ه) وضع خريطة زلازل تكتونية لأفريقيا.
