The International Organization of Indigenous Resource Development noted that Canada could not or did not accept the recommendations on ILO Convention 169, the lifting of reservations, with regard to the Convention on the Rights of the Child, on indigenous children and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
