16. The Strategy envisages the UNCCD as becoming " a global authority on scientific and technical knowledge pertaining to desertification/land degradation and mitigation of the effects of drought " .
16- ستصبح اتفاقية مكافحة التصحر في تصور الاستراتيجية: " السلطة العالمية في مجال المعرفة العلمية والتقنية المتعلقة بالتصحر/تردي الأراضي وتخفيف آثار الجفاف. "

This is in line with the third operational objective of The Strategy, calling for the Convention to become a global authority on scientific and technical knowledge pertaining to desertification/land degradation and mitigation of the effects of drought.
وهذا يتوافق مع الهدف التنفيذي الثالث من أهداف الاستراتيجية الداعي إلى تحوُّل الاتفاقية إلى مرجعية عالمية ذات حجية في مجال المعرفة العلمية والتقنية المتعلقة بالتصحر/تردِّي الأراضي وتخفيف آثار الجفاف.
