On 26 October, the Gambia, on behalf of the States Members of the United Nations that are members of the Group of African States, submitted a draft resolution entitled " Establishment of an African nuclear-weapon-free zone " (A/C.1/49/L.2). The draft resolution was introduced by the representative of Benin at the 20th meeting, on 15 November.
