On 11 September 2013, the second ministerial meeting of the countries of the Sahelo-Saharan region, which took place in N'Djamena, included ministers and representatives of ECCAS and the Community of Sahelo-Saharan States (CEN-SAD).
وفي 11 أيلول/سبتمبر 2013، عُقد في نجامينا، الاجتماع الوزاري الثاني لبلدان منطقة الساحل والصحراء، حضره وزراء وممثلو الجماعة الاقتصادية لدول وسط أفريقيا وتجمع دول الساحل والصحراء.

6. The participants welcomed the international community's strong engagement and good intentions with respect to the countries and populations of the Sahelo-Saharan region, and reiterated their commitment to promoting effective cooperation for achieving greater coherence among the various strategies and initiatives of regional and international organizations.
٦ - ورحب المشاركون بتعبئة المجتمع الدولي بقوة وما أبداه من نوايا طيبة إزاء بلدان منطقة الساحل والصحراء الكبرى وسكانها، وأكدوا من جديد التزامهم بتعزيز التعاون الفعال من أجل تحقيق الاتساق بين مختلف استراتيجيات ومبادرات المنظمات الإقليمية والدولية.

60. UNOWA attended the 4th and 5th meetings of the heads of intelligence and security services of the countries of the Sahelo-Saharan region, held on 17 and 18 February and on 19 and 20 May, respectively, within the framework of the African Union-led Nouakchott Process on the enhancing security cooperation and the operationalization of the African Peace and Security Architecture.
60 - وحضر المكتب الاجتماعين الرابع والخامس لرؤساء أجهزة المخابرات والأمن في بلدان منطقة الساحل والصحراء اللذين عُقدا في 17 و 18 شباط/فبراير، و 19 و 20 أيار/مايو، في إطار عملية نواكشوط التي يقودها الاتحاد الأفريقي بشأن تعزيز التعاون الأمني وتفعيل منظومة السلم والأمن الأفريقية.

Mali had also established a cross-border cooperation framework to address the threat posed by armed bandits in the North of the country and to protect the stability of the Sahelo-Saharan subregion; its President planned to organize a conference on security and development in the States of that subregion.
وأضاف أن مالي أنشأت أيضا إطارا للتعاون عبر الحدود للتصدي للتهديد الذي تمثله العصابات المسلحة في شمال البلد وللمحافظة على الاستقرار في منطقة الساحل الصحراوي دون الإقليمية، وأن رئيسها يخطط لتنظيم مؤتمر بشأن الأمن والتنمية في دول هذه المنطقة الفرعية.
