The Conference agreed to combine the issues of nanotechnologies and manufactured nanomaterials, chemicals in products, hazardous substances and the life cycle of electrical and electronic waste, and lead in paint in a single, consolidated resolution, and to annex to that resolution the modalities for considering emerging policy issues.

Recognizing also the efforts of industry and other stakeholders in addressing hazardous substances within the life cycle of electrical and electronic products,
