وقد طُلب من الأمين التنفيذي أن يقوم، بالتشاور مع مكتبي مؤتمر الأطراف ولجنة العلم والتكنولوجيا، بإعداد مشروع برنامج عمل فترة السنتين المُحدد التكاليف للجنة العلم والتكنولوجيا وذلك على نحو يتفق مع الاستراتيجية ويأخذ بنهج الإدارة القائمة على النتائج، وأن يقدم هذا المشروع إلى الدورة التاسعة لمؤتمر الأطراف من أجل النظر فيه واعتماده.

41. 41- يطلب مؤتمر الأطراف، في الفقرتين 7 و11 من مقرره 3/م أ-8، من الأمين التنفيذي إعداد مشروع برنامج عمل لفترة سنتين يكون مُحدد التكاليف، بغية تقديمه إلى لجنة العلم والتكنولوجيا، وذلك بالتشاور مع مكتبي مؤتمر الأطراف ولجنة العلم والتكنولوجيا، على نحو يتفق مع الاستراتيجية ويأخذ بنهج الإدارة القائمة على النتائج، وتقديمه إلى الدورة التاسعة لمؤتمر الأطراف من أجل النظر فيه واعتماده.
