أعادت الجمعية العامة في قرارها 58/270 تأكيد أن نظام الوثائق الرسمية بالأمم المتحدة يجب أن يغطي المنظمة بأسرها وطلبت إلى الأمين العام أن يقدم إلى الجمعية العامة في دورتها التاسعة والخمسين تقريرا عن التقدم المحرز في تطبيق ذلك النظام على نطاق الأمانة العامة.
