It was to be hoped that the steps being undertaken by the Quartet, its regional partners and international donors would provide for the urgent needs of the Palestinian people and help both sides move closer to resuming peace negotiations.
ومن المأمول فيه أن الخطوات الجاري الاضطلاع بها من قِبَل اللجنة وشركائها الإقليميين والمانحين الدوليين سوف تلبي الاحتياجات الملحة للشعب الفلسطيني وتساعد كلا الجانبين على التحرك قريباً نحو استئناف مفاوضات السلام.

The General Assembly, in its resolution 48/213 of 21 December 1993, called upon relevant organizations and agencies of the United Nations system to intensify their assistance in response to the urgent needs of the Palestinian people and to improve coordination through an appropriate mechanism under the auspices of the Secretary-General.
وفي قرار الجمعية العامة ٨٤/٣١٢، المؤرخ ١٢ كانون اﻷول/ ديسمبر ٣٩٩١، طلبت الجمعية العامة إلى المؤسسات والوكالات المختصة في منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة أن تكثف مساعداتها لتلبية الاحتياجات الملحة للشعب الفلسطيني وأن تحسن عملية التنسيق عن طريق آلية ملائمة برعاية اﻷمين العام.
