240. The Advisory Committee recalls that, because of contractor-related performance issues, the Secretary-General previously reported that UNAMI had experienced delays in the design phase of the planned construction for an integrated headquarters compound in Baghdad (A/65/602, para. 218).
240 - تذكّر اللجنة الاستشارية بأنه بسبب مشاكل تتعلق بأداء المقاولين، أشار الأمين العام في تقرير سابق إلى أن بعثة الأمم المتحدة لتقديم المساعدة إلى العراق شهدت تأخيرات في مرحلة تصميم التشييد المقرر لمجمع مقر متكامل في بغداد (A/65/602، الفقرة 218).

However, based on delays in the timing of the completion of the construction and the anticipated reduction in the post-earthquake surge capacity, which was subsequently approved by the Security Council in its resolution 2012 (2011), the planned construction of seven hard-wall facilities for the additional troops and police personnel was cancelled as it was no longer operationally required.
