In this connection, the Committee refers to General Assembly resolution 63/243, in which the Assembly urged States parties to accelerate their domestic ratification procedures with regard to the amendment and to notify the Secretary-General expeditiously in writing of their agreement to the amendment.
وتشير اللجنة، في هذا الصدد، إلى قرار الجمعية العامة 63/243، الذي حثت فيه الجمعية العامة الدولة الطرف على التعجيل باتخاذ إجراءات داخلية للتصديق على التعديل وإخطار الأمين العام كتابة وعلى وجه السرعة بموافقتها على التعديل.

١٦٣ - وتلفت اللجنة انتباه الدولة الطرف إلى تعديل الفقرة ٦ من المادة ٨ من الاتفاقية والذي أقرته الدول اﻷطراف في اجتماعها الرابع عشر واعتمدته الجمعية العامة في قرارها ٤٧/١١١، وهي تشجع الدولة الطرف على التعجيل باتخاذ إجراءاتها للقبول رسميا بذلك التعديل.

478. ٤٧٨ - وتسترعي اللجنة انتباه الدولة الطرف إلى تعديل الفقرة ٦ من المادة ٨ من الاتفاقية، الذي أقره الاجتماع الخامس عشر للدول اﻷطراف واعتمدته الجمعية العامة في قرارها ٤٧/١١١، وهي تشجع الدولة الطرف على التعجيل باتخاذ اجراءاتها للقبول رسميا بذلك التعديل.

The Committee encourages the State party to expedite the necessary steps for the withdrawal of its reservation to article 7 (a) of the Convention, which it believes to be contrary to the object and purpose of the Convention.
وتشجع اللجنة الدولة الطرف على التعجيل باتخاذ الخطوات الضرورية لسحب التحفظ الذي أبدته على المادة 7 (أ) من الاتفاقية حيث ترى أنه يتعارض مع هدف الاتفاقية ومقصدها.

327. The Committee urges the State party to expedite the steps necessary for the withdrawal of its reservations and in that regard draws its attention to the Committee's statement on reservations in the report on the nineteenth session4 and, in particular, its view that articles 2 and 16 are central to the object and purpose of the Convention and that, in accordance with article 28, paragraph 2, they should be withdrawn.
327- وتحث اللجنة الدولة الطرف على التعجيل باتخاذ الخطوات الضرورية لسحب تلك التحفظات وتوجه انتباهها في هذا الصدد إلى بيان اللجنة بشأن التحفظات (الوارد في التقرير عن الدورة التاسعة عشرة)(4) وبخاصة رأيها بأن المادتين 2 و 16 تتسمان بأهمية جوهرية بالنسبة لأهداف ومقاصد الاتفاقية وأنه ينبغي عملا بالفقرة 2 من المادة 28 إعادة النظر في التحفظات أو تعديلها أو سحبها.

In this connection, the Committee cites General Assembly resolution 61/148, in which it strongly urged States parties to accelerate their domestic ratification procedures with regard to the amendment and to notify the Secretary-General expeditiously in writing of their agreement to the amendment.
وتشير اللجنة، في هذا الصدد، إلى قرار الجمعية العامة 61/148 الذي حثت فيه الجمعية العامة الدولة الطرف على التعجيل باتخاذ إجراءات داخلية للتصديق على التعديل وإخطار الأمين العام كتابة وعلى وجه السرعة بموافقتها على التعديل.
