١٣ - أكدت اللجنة من جديد، كعهدها في السنوات السابقة، أنها ترحب بكل من يرغب من الدول اﻷعضاء في اﻷمم المتحدة ومن المراقبين الدائمين لدى اﻷمم المتحدة في المشاركة في أعمال اللجنة بصفة مراقبين.

10. Pursuant to the relevant rules of procedure and the Committee's decision taken at its first session, at its 1st meeting, on 28 April, the Committee took note of requests to attend the meetings of the Committee as observers from specialized agencies and international and regional intergovernmental organizations, as well as from non-governmental organizations.
10 - عملا بالنظام الداخلي ذي الصلة وبالقرار الذي اتخذته اللجنة في دورتها الأولى، أحاطت اللجنة علما في جلستها الأولى المعقودة في 28 نيسان/أبريل، بالطلبات الموجهة من الوكالات المتخصصة والمنظمات الحكومية الدولية العاملة على الصعيدين الدولي والإقليمي وكذلك من المنظمات غير الحكومية لحضور جلسات اللجنة بصفة مراقبين.

(i) The participation of users from the private sector, there are a large number of non-governmental organizations (about 1,300) that, being in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council, may therefore attend sessions of the Commission as observers.
