One of the main objectives of the Decade is the adoption of the draft United Nations declaration on the rights of indigenous peoples and the further development of international standards as well as national legislation for the protection and promotion of the human rights of indigenous people.
ويتمثل أحد اﻷهداف الرئيسية لهذا العقد في اعتماد مشروع إعلان اﻷمم المتحدة بشأن حقوق السكان اﻷصليين وزيادة تطوير المعايير الدولية والتشريعات الوطنية من أجل حماية وتعزيز حقوق اﻹنسان للسكان اﻷصليين.

Recalling the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the Declaration on the Rights of Persons Belonging to National or Ethnic, Religious and Linguistic Minorities, and bearing in mind article 27 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and other relevant existing international standards and national legislation,

One of the main objectives of the Decade is the adoption by the General Assembly of a declaration on the rights of indigenous peoples and the further development of international standards and national legislation for the protection and promotion of the human rights of indigenous people.
ويتمثل أحد اﻷهداف الرئيسية لهذا العقد في اعتماد الجمعية العامة إعلانا بشأن حقوق السكان اﻷصليين وزيادة تطوير المعايير الدولية والتشريعات الوطنية من أجل حماية وتعزيز حقوق اﻹنسان للسكان اﻷصليين.

15. Training courses on international standards and national legislation relating to ethnic minorities should be introduced for civil servants.
15- وينبغي تنظيم دورات تدريبية بشأن المعايير الدولية والتشريعات الوطنية المتعلقة بالأقليات العرقية لفائدة موظفي الخدمة المدنية.

2. One of the main objectives of the programme of activities of the Decade was the adoption of a United Nations declaration on the rights of indigenous peoples and the further development of international standards and national legislation governing those rights.
٢ - إن أحد اﻷهداف الرئيسية لبرنامج أنشطة العقد هو اعتماد إعلان لﻷمم المتحدة بشأن حقوق السكان اﻷصليين، ومواصلة تطوير المعايير الدولية والتشريعات الوطنية التي تنظم تلك الحقوق.

(a) To promote the implementation of the Declaration on the Rights of Persons Belonging to National or Ethnic, Religious and Linguistic Minorities, including through consultations with Governments, taking into account existing international standards and national legislation concerning minorities;
(أ) تعزيز تنفيذ الإعلان المتعلق بحقوق الأشخاص المنتمين إلى أقليات قومية أو إثنية وإلى أقليات دينية ولغوية، عن طريق تدابير من بينها المشاورات مع الحكومات، مع مراعاة المعايير الدولية والتشريعات الوطنية الموجودة بخصوص الأقليات؛

23. Under the new mandate, the independent expert would be nominated by the High Commissioner for Human Rights. He/she would be mandated to promote the implementation of the Declaration on the Rights of Minorities through consultations with Governments, taking into account existing international standards and national legislation and the views of NGOs.
23- وبمقتضى الولاية الجديد، تعيِّن المفوضة السامية لحقوق الإنسان الخبير المستقل وتوكل إليه ولاية تشجيع تنفيذ الإعلان بشأن حقوق الأقليات عن طريق التشاور مع الحكومات مع مراعاة المعايير الدولية والتشريعات الوطنية السارية وآراء المنظمات غير الحكومية.

2. In its resolution 50/157, the General Assembly adopted the programme of activities for the Decade. One of the main objectives of the Decade is the adoption of the draft United Nations declaration on the rights of indigenous peoples and the further development of international standards as well as national legislation for the protection and promotion of the human rights of indigenous people.
2- واعتمدت الجمعية العامة، في قرارها 50/157 برنامج أنشطة العقد ويتمثل أحد الأهداف الرئيسية لهذا العقد في اعتماد مشروع إعلان الأمم المتحدة بشأن حقوق السكان الأصليين وزيادة تطوير المعايير الدولية والتشريعات الوطنية من أجل حماية وتعزيز حقوق الإنسان للسكان الأصليين.
