ويجب اعتماد تدابير فعالة لنزع السلاح النووي بهدف اﻹزالة التامة لهذه اﻷسلحة ضمن إطار زمني محدد.

In operative paragraph 4, the General Assembly would call upon the nuclear-weapon States to undertake a step-by-step reduction of the nuclear threat and a phased programme of progressive and balanced deep reductions of nuclear weapons, and to carry out effective nuclear disarmament measures with a view to the total elimination of these weapons within a time-bound framework.
وتطلب الجمعية في الفقرة ٤ من المنطوق إلى الدول الحائزة لﻷسلحة النووية أن تقوم بتقليص التهديد النووي خطوة فخطوة؛ وبتنفيذ برنامج مرحلي للتخفيضات التدريجية والمتوازنة الكبيرة في اﻷسلحة النووية وأن تنفذ تدابير فعالة لنزع اﻷسلحة النووية بهدف اﻹزالة التامة لهذه اﻷسلحة ضمن إطار زمني محدد.

1. Recognizes that the time is now opportune for all the nuclear-weapon States to take effective disarmament measures to achieve the total elimination of these weapons at the earliest possible time;
1 - تسلم بأن الوقت أصبح الآن مؤاتيا لكي تتخذ جميع الدول الحائزة للأسلحة النووية تدابير فعالة لنـزع السلاح بهدف الإزالة التامة لتلك الأسلحة في أقرب وقت ممكن؛

6. Reiterates its calls upon the nuclear-weapon States to undertake the step-by-step reduction of the nuclear threat and to carry out effective nuclear disarmament measures with a view to the total elimination of these weapons;
٦ - تكرر طلبها إلى الدول الحائزة لﻷسلحة النووية أن تقوم بتخفيض الخطر النووي تدريجيا وبتنفيذ تدابير فعالة لنزع اﻷسلحة النووية بهدف اﻹزالة التامة لهذه اﻷسلحة؛

It also recognizes that the end of the cold war and other recent developments have brought about favourable conditions, in which all nuclear-weapon States should be able to adopt effective measures of nuclear disarmament with a view to the total elimination of these weapons within a time-bound framework.
كما تســلم بأن انتــهاء الحــرب الباردة والتطورات اﻷخرى القريبة العهد خلقا الظروف المؤاتية التي تمكن جميع الدول الحائزة لﻷسلحة النووية من اعتماد تدابير فعالة لنزع السلاح النووي، بهدف اﻹزالة التامة لهذه اﻷسلحة ضمن إطار زمني محدد.
