The group agreed to further consult and consider the draft questionnaire and provide comments to the Secretariat by January 23, 2008 with a view to completing the survey, and to analyse its results by the twenty-eight session of the SBSTA.

The participants suggested that governments might wish to provide comments to the Secretariat on the common reporting format by 15 May in time for the tenth session of the SBSTA;

By paragraph 8 of decision VIII/16, the Conference of the Parties invited Parties and others to submit comments to the Secretariat on issues referred to in subparagraphs 7 (b) and (c) of that decision.

Recommendations were also made by participants as to how specific parts of the document could be improved, with others noting that they would provide comments to the Secretariat on the draft guide prior to its finalization and presentation to the forthcoming session of the Conference of the States Parties.

1- يدعو الأطراف وآخرين إلى تقديم تعليقات إلى الأمانة بشأن خبراتهم وتقييمهم بشأن تنفيذ المبادئ التوجيهية التقنية القائمة الخاصة بالإدارة السليمة بيئياً للنفايات الخطرة والصعوبات العملية والعوائق التي لاقوها في تنفيذهم لهذه المبادئ بحلول 31 كانون الثاني/يناير 2005؛

Invites Parties and others to provide comments to the Secretariat on their experiences and assessment of the implementation of the existing technical guidelines on the environmentally sound management of hazardous wastes and the identified practical difficulties and obstacles in their implementation by 31 July 2004;
1 - يدعو الأطراف وأصحاب المصالح الآخرين إلى تقديم تعليقات إلى الأمانة بشأن تجاربها، وتقييم لتنفيذ المبادئ التوجيهية التقنية الحالية بشأن الإدارة السليمة بيئياً للنفايات الخطرة والمصاعب العملية التي واجهت تنفيذها وذلك في موعد غايته 31 تموز/يوليه 2004،

In response to that invitation, fifteen Governments (including one on behalf of a regional economic integration organization and its member States) and three nongovernmental organizations submitted comments to the Secretariat.
5- واستجابة لهذه الدعوة، قدمت 15 حكومة (من بينها حكومة بالنيابة عن منظمة تكامل اقتصادي إقليمية والدول الأعضاء فيها) وثلاث منظمات غير حكومية تعليقات إلى الأمانة.

1. Encourages Parties to respond, by 31 January 2008, to the invitation issued by the Conference of the Parties at its eighth meeting to provide comments to the Secretariat on issues such as roles and responsibilities in the draft ship recycling convention and those relevant to the Basel Convention, including:
1 - يستحث الأطراف على الاستجابة قبل 31 أيار/ مايو 2008 للدعوة التي وجهها مؤتمر الأطراف في اجتماعه الثامن بتقديم تعليقات إلى الأمانة بشأن قضايا من قبيل الأدوار والمسؤوليات الواردة في مشروع اتفاقية إعادة تدوير السفن وتلك الوثيقة الصلة باتفاقية بازل، بما في ذلك:
