3. When the shipper is relieved of part of its liability pursuant to this article, the shipper is liable only for that part of the loss or damage that is attributable to its fault or to the fault of any person referred to in article 34.
٣- عندما يُعفى الشاحن من جزء من مسؤوليته بمقتضى هذه المادة، لا يكون الشاحن مسؤولا إلا عن ذلك الجزء من الخسارة أو الضرر الذي يُعزى إلى خطأ ارتكبه هو أو أي شخص مشار إليه في المادة ٣4.

(c) Assigns a benefit of insurance of the goods in favour of the carrier or a person referred to in article 18.
(ج) يحيل منفعة التأمين على البضاعة لصالح الناقل أو لصالح شخص مشار إليه في المادة ١8.

٣ - عندما يعفى الشاحن من جزء من مسؤوليته بمقتضى هذه المادة، لا يكون الشاحن مسؤولا إلا عن ذلك الجزء من الخسارة أو الضرر الذي يعزى إلى خطأ ارتكبه هو أو أي شخص مشار إليه في المادة ٣4.

It was further noted that the second sentence, which relieved the shipper of all or part of its liability if it proved that the cause or one of the causes was not attributable to its fault or to the fault of any person referred to in draft article 34, was intended to apply regardless of which of the two variants was ultimately chosen.
ولوحظ كذلك أن الجملة الثانية، التي تعفي الشاحن من كل مسؤوليته أو من جزء منها إذا ما أثبت أن السبب أو أحد الأسباب لا يعزى إلى خطأ ارتكبه هو أو ارتكبه أي شخص مشار إليه في مشروع المادة 34، يقصد بها أن تنطبق بصرف النظر عن أي الخيارين يقع عليه الاختيار في نهاية المطاف.

2. Visas, when required, shall be granted as promptly as possible to any person referred to in paragraph 1 of this article. "
