(ii) The workshop should identify options to increase cooperation and capture synergies among the conventions using existing channels, particularly the exchange of information, in areas such as technology transfer, education and outreach, research and systematic observation, capacity-building, reporting, and impacts and adaptation;

The strategy adopted by the secretariat of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) towards promotion and strengthening of synergies among the conventions and other relevant organizations relies on four main pillars:
