It is not by resignation but by its creative attitude towards its new commitments and the new order of democratic coexistence that Salvadorian society as a whole will ultimately strike a balance in dealing with those who must take the blame for what they did during the conflict but deserve praise for what they did in the peace process.

وفي البيان الرئاسي المؤرخ ١٣ تموز/يوليه ١٩٩٤ (S/PRST/1994/33)، لاحظ المجلس أنه لم يتحقق إلا تقدم محدود في عملية إقرار السلم في ليبريا؛ ولاحظ كذلك، مع القلق، أن أعمال التحضير للانتخابات الوطنية قد أعاقها استمرار القتال بين الفصائل وما يترتب عليه من شبه توقف لعملية نزع السلاح.

Noting that Tunisia had participated in the work of multilateral organs and their efforts to promote rapid progress in the peace process, he expressed his delegation's firm intention of continuing to provide assistance to UNRWA to help it to attain its high ideals and its hope that the Agency would overcome the difficulties facing it so that it would continue in the future to contribute to the process of establishing peace in the Middle East.
٥٤ - وتطرق المتحدث إلى مشاركة تونس في أعمال الهيئات متعددة اﻷطراف وإلى الجهود التي تبذلها ﻹنجاح مسيرة السلام في الشرق اﻷوسط فقال إن وفد تونس يعلن عزمه الصادق على مواصلة مساعدة الوكالة على أداء مهامها النبيلة ويعرب عن أمله في أن تجتاز الوكالة الصعوبات التي تواجهها حتى تتمكن من مواصلة إسهامها في عملية إقرار السلم في الشرق اﻷوسط.
