Part VI of the LRA provides that the court shall in all suits and proceeding under the Act give relief on principles which in the opinion of the court are as nearly as may be conformable to the principles on which the High Court of Justice in England acts and gives relief in matrimonial proceedings.

427 - يجيز قانون إصلاح قوانين الزواج والطلاق للمحكمة أن تأمر الزوج بدفع نفقة لزوجته الحالية أو زوجته السابقة خلال النظر في دعوى زوجية، وعند إصدار أمر بإيقاع الطلاق أو التفريق القانوني بينهما أو بعد أي منهما، أو إذا وُجدت، بعد إصدار قرار من المحكمة باعتبارها متوفية، أنها ما زالت على قيد الحياة.

418. Section 49 (1) of the LRA further provides that the court shall have jurisdiction to entertain proceedings by a wife, although the husband is not domiciled or resident in Malaysia if:
418 - وتنص المادة 49 (1) من قانون إصلاح قوانين الزواج والطلاق كذلك أن المحكمة تتمتع باختصاص النظر في الدعوى التي ترفعها الزوجة ضد زوجها وإن كان غير مقيم في ماليزيا أو لم يتخذ فيها موطنا له، وذلك في الأحوال التالية:

395. For the solemnisation of a civil marriage performed in the office of a Registrar of elsewhere, each of the parties to an intended marriage shall sign and give a notice in the prescribed form in person to the Registrar of Marriage in the district in which such party has been resident for the period of seven days immediately preceding the giving of such notice. (Section 14 of the LRA).
395 - وبغية تثبيت الزواج المدني المعقود في مكتب مسجل في مكان آخر تثبيتا رسميا، يتوجب على كل من طرفي عقد الزواج المزمع أن يقدم شخصيا إخطارا موقعا منه في الاستمارة المحددة إلى مسجل الزواج في المقاطعة التي أقام فيها ذلك الطرف لفترة سبعة أيام سابقة مباشرة لتقديم الإخطار (المادة 14 من قانون إصلاح قوانين الزواج والطلاق).
