The previous year's report of the Secretary-General on assistance in mine action (A/59/284) had recognized that donors should support mine action from their development and reconstruction budgets as well as their humanitarian emergency budgets.

4. Since the previous report of the Secretary-General on assistance in mine action (A/59/284), implementation of the revised United Nations mine action strategy for 2001-2005 (A/58/260/Add.1) was completed.
4 - ومنذ صدور التقرير السابق للأمين العام عن تقديم المساعدة في الإجراءات المتعلقة بالألغام (A/59/284)، اكتمل تنفيذ استراتيجية الأمم المتحدة المنقحة للإجراءات المتعلقة بالألغام للفترة 2001-2005 (A/58/260/Add.1).

4. For its consideration of the item, the Committee had before it the report of the International Law Commission on the work of its sixty-second session and a report of the Secretary-General on assistance to special rapporteurs of the International Law Commission (A/65/186).
