Consequently, the Committee on Transfer of Technology was suspended and a new Ad Hoc Working Group on the Interrelationship between Investment and Technology Transfer was created, which completed its work in March 1994.

In consonance with Trade and Development Board resolution 393 (XXXVIII), the work programme of the Ad Hoc Working Group on the Interrelationship between Investment and Technology Transfer (TD/B/WG.5/3) included the examination of:

11. The Board's Ad Hoc Working Group on the Interrelationship between Investment and Technology Transfer has agreed on a work programme composed of three priority areas, one of which, " Transfer and development of environmentally sound technologies " , contains the following elements relevant to the implementation of Agenda 21:
١١ - اتفق الفريق العامل المخصص للترابط بين الاستثمار ونقل التكنولوجيا التابع للمجلس على برنامج عمل مكون من ثلاثة مجالات ذات أولوية، أحدها " نقل واستحداث تكنولوجيات سليمة بيئيا " ، يتضمن العناصر التالية ذات الصلة بتنفيذ جدول أعمال القرن ٢١:
