9. In accordance with rule 3, paragraph 5, of the rules of procedure, when a member or alternate member resigns or is otherwise unable to complete the assigned term of office or the functions of a member or alternate member, the Compliance Committee is to request the CMP to elect a new member or alternate member for the remainder of the term at its next session.

If a member of the Adaptation Committee resigns or is otherwise unable to complete the assigned term of office or to perform the functions of that office, some Parties suggested that the Committee may decide, bearing in mind the proximity of the next COP session, to request the group or constituency that had nominated the member to nominate another member to replace the said member for the remainder of that member's mandate.
67- واقترح بعض الأطراف في حالة استقالة عضو من أعضاء لجنة التكيف أو في الحالة التي يتعذر عليه فيها، لأي سبب آخر، إكمال مدة ولايته أو أداء المهام المرتبطة بها، أن تطلب اللجنة إلى مجموعة الأطراف أو البلدان التي كانت قد رشحته أن ترشح عضواً آخر لخلافته طيلة الفترة المتبقية من ولايته، مع مراعاة اقتراب موعد الدورة المقبلة لمؤتمر الأطراف.

Notwithstanding paragraph 7, if a member or an alternate resigns or is otherwise unable to complete the assigned term of office or to perform the functions of that office, the Adaptation Fund Board may decide, bearing in mind the proximity of the next session of the CMP, to appoint another member, or an alternate member, from the same constituency to replace the said member for the remainder of that member's mandate.
8- دون الإخلال بالفقرة 7، إذا استقال عضو أو مناوب أو تعذر عليه إتمام مدة ولايته أو الاضطلاع بمهام تلك الولاية، لمجلس صندوق التكيف أن يقرر، مع مراعاة اقتراب الدورة التالية لمؤتمر الأطراف/اجتماع الأطراف، تعيين عضو آخر، أو عضو مناوب، من نفس المجموعة ليحل محل العضو المعني طوال الفترة المتبقية من ولايته.
