Recognizing the need for closer cooperation between the United Nations system and the League of Arab States and its specialized organizations in realizing the goals and objectives of both organizations,
وإذ تسلم بالحاجة الى اقامة تعاون أوثق بين منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة وجامعة الدول العربية ومنظماتها المتخصصة في تحقيق غايات وأهداف المنظمتين،

Convinced that the maintenance and further strengthening of cooperation between the United Nations system and the League of Arab States contribute to the promotion of the purposes and principles of the United Nations,
واقتناعا منها بأن استمرار التعاون بين منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة وجامعة الدول العربية وزيادة تعزيزه يسهمان في دعم مقاصد اﻷمم المتحدة ومبادئها،

The draft resolution we have just submitted on behalf of those Arab countries concerning cooperation between the United Nations and the League of Arab States recognizes the need to increase and strengthen cooperation between the United Nations and the League of Arab States and its specialized agencies, in order to obtain the objectives shared by both organizations.
إن مشروع القرار الذي يُعرض بالنيابة عن هذه الدول العربية حول التعاون بين الأمم المتحدة وجامعة الدول العربية، يسلم بالحاجة إلى زيادة وتوثيق التعاون بين منظومة الأمم المتحدة وجامعة الدول العربية ومنظماتها المتخصصة، من أجل تحقيق الغايات والأهداف المشتركة للمنظمتين.

Statements by the Co-Chairmen and representatives of the United Nations system and the League took stock of the cooperation achieved thus far and suggested ways and means to further strengthen and expand collaboration between the two organizations.
وتناول البيانان اللذان أدلى بهما الرئيسان المشاركان وممثلا منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة وجامعة الدول العربية تقييم التعاون الذي تحقق حتى اﻵن واقتراح سبل ووسائل زيادة تعزيز وتوسيع نطاق التعاون بين المنظمتين.

III. FOLLOW-UP ACTION ON PROPOSALS AGREED TO AT GENERAL MEETINGS BETWEEN the United Nations system and the League OF ARAB STATES
ثالثا - إجراءات متابعة المقترحات المتفق عليها في الاجتماعات العامة المعقودة بين منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة وجامعة الدول العربية

112. In the course of their deliberations, the representatives of the organizations of the United Nations system and the League and its specialized organizations undertook a critical review and appraisal of progress in cooperation.
١١٢ - وخلال المداولات، أجرى ممثلو مؤسسات ووكالات منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة وجامعة الدول العربية ومنظماتها المتخصصة استعراضا وتقييما تمحيصيين للتقدم المحرز في مجال التعاون.

It also underscores the need to hold general meetings between the United Nations and the League of Arab States every two years, as well as joint sectoral meetings once every two years between their respective agencies in order to study and consider priority areas for development in the Arab States.
ومن ناحية أخرى، يؤكد مشروع القرار الحاجة إلى عقد اجتماع عام مرة كل سنتين بين منظومة الأمم المتحدة وجامعة الدول العربية، وعقد اجتماعات قطاعية مشتركة بين وكالاتها مرة كل سنتين بشأن المجالات ذات الأولوية وذات الأهمية الكبرى في تنمية الدول العربية.
