Article 4 -- Contempt of Court and false testimony

[As is the case with national courts, the Court must have the power to deal with contempt and perjury.

1. The ICTY and ICTR shall have competence to conduct, and complete, all proceedings for contempt of court and false testimony for which the indictment is confirmed prior to the commencement date of the respective branch of the Mechanism.
1 - يكون لمحكمة يوغوسلافيا ومحكمة رواندا، اختصاص إجراء وإنهاء جميع الإجراءات المتعلقة بانتهاك حرمة المحكمة وشهادة الزور التي يثبتها قرار الاتهام قبل تاريخ بدء عمل فرعي الآلية.

2. The Mechanism shall have competence to conduct, and complete, all proceedings for contempt of court and false testimony for which the indictment is confirmed on or after the commencement date of the respective branch of the Mechanism.
2 - يكون للآلية اختصاص إجراء وإنهاء جميع الإجراءات المتعلقة بانتهاك حرمة المحكمة وشهادة الزور التي يثبتها قرار الاتهام عند تاريخ بدء عمل فرعي الآلية أو بعده.

(d) Trial of contempt-of-court and false testimony cases: this function deals with the trial and appeal of persons indicted for contempt of court or false testimony before either Tribunal or before the Mechanism, as well as the investigation of contempt of court or false testimony.

On December 11, 2007, both defendants were convicted for conspiracy to commit a felony, TIP, inducement to engage in prostitution managing a place for the purpose of prostitution, publication of prostitution services, indecent act, subornation in connection with investigation and violations of the Entry into Israel Law.
